It arrived!

Four years since I started work on it (not counting the ten years of Doors events it draws on) I received the first printed copy of my book. You won't beleve what a relief it is that it's finally done. Thanks a million to the many people who helped make it happen.

Congratulations, John!

We're hoping to order a copy soon for my user experience lab.

Back in Cape Town with time to reflect. Forced by friends and family to explain what the hell I was doing in India and what Doors is, made me realise the fine experience I had. The primo take-away: meeting all sorts of people and opening up a range of multi-possibilities. As for the impact of corporate creep, relax Benjamin. I didn't feel its influence at all, negative or positive and until an alternative is found, its a necessary evil (to accept sponsorship) if you want to attend or host conferences such as this which allow the free discussion which took place.
Perhaps energy should be directed towards why a country like India feels the need to arm itself to the teeth (including ordering an aircraft carrier) while its people grapple with living day to day. Let's keep some perspective, please.
